Magazine Cover!!! and Still left to do- Editing, finishing website, finalising magazine covers

This is my magazine cover. I am very happy with it. I spent a lot of time working on it, and I think the work has paid off because it looks good and the images work well with the text, and it captures the eye like soap magazines should.

I have included a link to a downloadable PDF from Google docs. above if an A4 print-out is wanted. I had to save the image of the magazine cover as a small jpg. document and had to upload another image of my magazine cover, A4 size into Google docs and put the link to it above. I am glad I have learnt how to do this, because it is very useful for this sort of thing and I would definetly do it again.

Despite thinking that my magazine cover looks good, I have noticed that there are a few features that I should have included on the cover, and would do if I was to do this magazine cover again. I should have included an issue date such as 26th January 2010. But other than the small details, I am happy with the rest of the magazine.

We will take all our work with us to the CLC on 2nd Febuary so that we can finish our website and edit our film. This has not been able to happen yet because Elena Antoniades computer has not got enough memory on it, we therefore have had to make sure that we can edit at the CLC, because we now have a tight scedule to get things finished before the deadline.

During the Christmas holidays

Whilst I was in Cyprus from the 22nd December to the 5th January, because I could not attend filming sessions with my group, I worked on individual work instead. I worked upon my magazine cover, which, apart from the website, is another aspect of the marketing where our soap would be advertised. I used the apropriate software for this task- Adobe CS3. I found this programme difficult to use at first, however I really appreciated the skills I was learning once I started to get used to using it. I am now able to use this programme effectivly for taks such as this.

January 5th- No music for website

In today's lesson, Shadei and I told Anna and Elena that we thought that due to other soap websites not having music on them , we would not add any to ours. We all agreed that this was a sensible decision, as then our website wont be too busy, and our audience will be able to focus on the more important things on the site.

January 5th- Back from Cyprus- filming scene with Shadei!

Every group member was present, including Anna's boyfriend who was also used to film a scene with Anna Philona. Despite being exhausted from the plane journey, I was determined to get the scene right. This kind of acting was new to me, so it took many shots, from different angles, ranges and takes. It was only about thirty seconds of film, but it took ages to get it right, due to laughter, or getting our lines wrong. It was also difficult for me and Shadei to decide which one of us would say 'I love you', but we decided that I would say this, and then this would follow with us kissing. Finally, Shadei and I got used to working with each other so closely and we were able to communicate effectivly with each other, at which point, I manged to pull of convincing acting with Shadei saying 'I love you', and Shadei and I going in to kiss eachother looked good from the angle from which it was filmed.

I am personally happy with what we managed to acheive within the time of the lesson.
